Welcome to Saint Kentigern. We offer an independent Presbyterian education for boys and girls from Preschool through to Year 13 on two beautiful campuses in Auckland, New Zealand.
We choose to believe in the power of young people to make a positive contribution to the world and in the impact that educational excellence can make for them and our staff, families, and communities.
We provide our students with the educational, social, and moral guidance to foster belief, the joy of learning, a deep sense of belonging, and a lifelong set of values.
We are a preferred choice for parents and families who believe the best education blends clear academic standards, tradition and innovation, with a higher sense of purpose. Our tailored approach supports every child to achieve their personal goals.
The Saint Kentigern Difference
Our Values
Respect Integrity Service Excellence Love
Values education has long been synonymous with The Saint Kentigern Way, a code of care and respect that all our students and staff are encouraged to adopt in every facet of their daily lives, both during the school day and at home. These core values provide a starting point for our students to explore many other essential values such as compassion, courage, determination, loyalty, justice and tolerance that are discussed and practised during the year.
Academic Excellence
Leadership and Building Character
Our mission is to provide an education that inspires students to strive for excellence in all areas of life, for the glory of God and the service of others. Authentic learning through active participation in service opportunities and initiatives for all our students helps develop humility, empathy and compassion for other people that remains with them for life.
We believe that leadership goes beyond excelling in academics and we stand by the importance of character development. Our approach to leadership which is integrated into our daily learning experience means that every child has the opportunity to shine and equips them for real-world scenarios.
Co-curricular Opportunities
Parallel Education
Our Parallel Education Model delivers teaching and learning in a way that recognises the unique and changing social, emotional and educational needs of all students.
This model spans Years 1 to 10 from our single gender primary schools through to our College. Boys and girls learn in separate streams, transitioning back to fully co-educational classes for Years 11- 13. This approach provides gender-specific teaching when it matters the most for students, with all the social advantages of a co-educational campus throughout their entire school journey.
Wellbeing & Optimism
One Learning Journey
From Preschool to College, a Saint Kentigern education is one seamless journey through four schools and two remarkable campuses. Through our encouragement and preparation, our students look forward to the next move in their learning journey.
Four schools across two campuses
Our facilities express our 'students first' philosophy, where everything we do is framed around our students' learning outcomes. We are on a continuous journey to create spaces that support individual growth, where students are equipped with the tools, resources and learning environments that encourage each student to excel and reach their potential.
