About the role:
We are currently recruiting for a Pastoral Care role an educator who is passionate about nurturing the pastoral and academic growth of our Pasifika students at the College. As a valued member of our experienced and welcoming Pastoral Care Team, you will be responsible for the well-being of our Pasifika students.
Your key responsibilities will include providing comprehensive pastoral care, leading and managing associated administrative tasks for our Pasifika students, and fostering a supportive and respectful community.
The purpose of this role is to provide leadership for the Saint Kentigern Pasifika Students in the following areas of responsibility:

- Promoting the inclusion, well-being, welfare, and academic learning needs of all Pasifika students (Including the Joyce Fisher Scholars)
- Monitor and mentor the Pastoral and Academic progress of Pasifika Students, with the aim to enhance and maximise their academic achievement.
- Work in partnership with students’ families and whanau to support well-being, pastoral, and academic achievement
- Promoting cultural success, recognition, and celebration with Saint Kentigern Community
- Experience and knowledge of Pasifika students, culture, and community communication
- Understanding of NCEA, IB and Middle School Curriculum
- Understanding of providing academic and pastoral care with appropriate strategies to support positive outcomes
- Good communication
- Commitment to the Values and Special Character of Saint Kentigern
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- Work in a team environment
- Hard working and resilient
- 1 management unit
