Our vision for our graduates is to ‘serve and lead with distinction’, to understand how acts of service, no matter how small, lay the cornerstones for ethical reasoning and compassion for the human experience.
Chapel Life
Weekly Chapel services are held for all staff and students and once a term student are expected to attend their House Chapel on a Sunday evening, and their families are invited to attend with them. The College Chapel band leads the singing and the Chaplaincy team deliver engaging messages that connect Biblical stories with life, reinforcing our values and character development. Special events like Founders Day, Anzac Day, Matariki, Easter, and Christmas are also celebrated.
Christian Education
Our Christian Education program aims to help each student achieve their potential and prepare for life’s challenges through engaging, relevant, and inquiry-based learning. This approach fosters personal reflection, critical thinking, and practical application of Biblical principles.
The College Chapel
The Saint Kentigern College Chapel is regarded as the heart of the campus. The Chapel was opened on the 30 July 1972. Approaching the Chapel, at the top of each flight of steps is a lamp. The stone beneath the lamp on the left came from Iona, Scotland and was part of the ancient Abbey there. It was sent to Saint Kentigern College by Lord MacLeod of Fuinary. Beneath the righthand lamp is the stone from Westminster Abbey, London, Sent by the Dean of Westminster. Today the College Chapel is a place of deep significance for students, staff, families and alumni.
